Happy birthday, Prince Philip!

The Duke of Edinburgh celebrated his 99th birthday on June 10 and Buckingham Palace marked the big birthday by releasing a new portrait of Philip and the Queen.

The royals were photographed at Windsor Castle, where they have been isolating during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Queen, who recently celebrated her 94th birthday in April, looked elegant in a long-sleeved dove grey dress with yellow flowers. She accessorized with a pearl necklace and earrings and a wristwatch with a black strap. Her husband looked dapper in a navy suit with double-breasted gold buttons, a pale blue button-down and red-and-navy striped tie.

The portrait was taken on June 1 in the sunny quadrangle of Windsor Castle ahead of his 99th birthday.

Many members of the Royal Family have taken to social media to celebrate Prince Philip's birthday, including Duchess Kate and Prince William. The Cambridges wished "a very happy 99th Birthday to the Duke of Edinburgh" on the Kensington Royal Instagram and shared photos of memorable moments.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla feted Philip's birthday with a few throwback photos on the Clarence House Instagram.

Their messages likely hold special meaning this year with the family isolating separately during the coronavirus pandemic. William and Kate and their children are at Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk, and Charles and Camilla are self-isolating at their Birkhall home on the Balmoral estate.

Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan and their son Archie, who are now based in Los Angeles, are reportedly going to call the duke on his birthday, according to HELLO! UK.

Her Majesty was photographed at the end of May on horseback in Windsor. The new photos captured the monarch on Balmoral Fern, a 14-year-old Fell Pony, during a ride in Windsor Home Park over the weekend of May 30 and 31.

HELLO! UK reported the photos were taken from an appropriate social distance as the monarch rode around the private royal park.

It has been reported that part of the 94-year-old's new routine during the coronavirus pandemic includes daily horseback rides.
