The Royal Family and fans all look forward to Trooping the Colour. It's arguably the biggest highlight of the year for "The Firm" because it brings together many family members to celebrate the Queen's birthday. And it also showcases some incredible style! Duchess Kate has wowed at Trooping the Colour consistently since she first attended as a newlywed back in 2011.
We might not get to experience the Duchess of Cambridge's traditional Trooping the Colour style this year because the coronavirus pandemic means the royal event will " not go ahead in its traditional form." But there are still celebrations to be had, and we can still look back fondly on Kate's wonderful looks. We're also asking you to select a favourite in the poll below!
Duchess Kate made her debut at Trooping the Colour as a newlywed on June 11, 2011. For the big event, the duchess appropriately selected a regal white coat from her wedding gown designer, Alexander McQueen. She accessorized with a dramatic black hat by Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Co.
In 2012, the Duchess of Cambridge was perfectly coordinated in a bespoke pale blue dress by Canadian-born fashion designer Erdem. The flower-embroidered style was paired with a matching Jane Corbett hat, Links of London jewels and a pale grey clutch.
Kate was expecting Prince George at Trooping the Colour in 2013! The mom-to-be glowed in a custom pale pink coat by Alexander McQueen on June 15. The style was trimmed with pearly buttons and she accessorized with her beloved pearl earrings by Annoushka and a bow-adorned hat by Jane Corbett. Once again, she completed the outfit with an Alexander McQueen grey bag.
(It was Kate's last official public appearance before she was due to give birth to George the following month!)
Kate celebrated Her Majesty's birthday in 2014 in another gorgeous Alexander McQueen look. This time, it was a textured silvery blue skirt suit paired with her trusty grey bag, Annoushka pearl drop earrings and a fascinator by Jane Taylor.
Trooping the Colour in 2015 was special because it marked Kate's first royal event since giving birth to Princess Charlotte on May 2! Kate charmed in a blue-and-white coat from Catherine Walker paired with a custom white Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Co hat.
In 2016, Kate had another dreamy flower moment. The duchess recycled from her wardrobe! She sported a chic white coat dress by Alexander McQueen, which she previously wore to Charlotte's christening. This time, the outfit was paired with a floral hat by Philip Treacy.
Another year, another head-turning Alexander McQueen ensemble! Kate was pretty in pink in a long-sleeved dress by the designer and a matching Jane Taylor fascinator for Trooping the Colour on June 17, 2017.
In 2018, Kate adorably matched Charlotte thanks to their baby blue looks. The mom of three was in a fitted Alexander McQueen dress paired with a Juliette Botterill floral hat.
Finally, at last year's Trooping the Colour Kate brightened up in a soft yellow Alexander McQueen dress with peplum detail. The frock was complemented by a floral fascinator from Philip Treacy and pearl earrings. If the hat seems familiar, that's because it is the one the style maven wore to the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
