Duchess Kate also had a very busy evening after stepping out to Westminster Abbey with members of the Royal Family for Commonwealth Day! The Duchess of Cambridge hosted a special reception for her patronage Place2Be on March 9 – and she looked absolutely stunning in a beaded navy gown!
The mom of three chose a Jenny Packham dress for the occasion, which she paired with silver Jimmy Choo heels. Kate opted for dangly earrings for her accessories, and carried a beaded clutch that matched her dress. The duchess wore her hair down in gentle waves and opted for equally soft makeup.
The gala dinner, which was thrown at Buckingham Palace, was in honour of Place2Be's 25th anniversary. Kate has been a patron of the organization since 2013, and Place2Be has also worked with her, Prince William and The Royal Foundation on the Heads Together campaign, Mentally Healthy Schools initiative and Shout mental health text messaging service. It has a strong commitment to children's mental wellness and early years, and so does Kate!
Two choirs were on hand to perform at the event, which must have made it an even more special evening for everyone.
This is another instance of Kate recycling a beautiful garment from her wardrobe. The duchess wore the dazzling royal blue Jenny Packham gown during her and William's royal visit to India and Bhutan in 2016.
While in Mumbai, she attended a Bollywood-inspired charity gala at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. For the grand occasion, the mom of three topped the sapphire blue gown with a coordinating long shawl for a sari-inspired effect. The rich beading on the look was completed in India.
She accessorized with a matching clutch and statement-making blue earrings by Indian jeweller Amrapali.
It was a splendid outfit so it is brilliant to see that Kate has reworked it for tonight.
Earlier in the day, Kate stepped out with the Queen, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, William, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. The event was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's final joint engagement as senior members of the Royal Family. They're due to step down from their roles on March 31.
Kate looked stunning in a crimson Catherine Walker coat dress, which was constructed out of plush fabric and decorated with matching buttons. The duchess paired it with a dramatic Sally-Ann Provan floral hat. She wore burgundy suede heels on her feet and accessorized with drop earrings that had a red floral detail, just like her hat! Kate's hair was swept back into a manicured chignon and just like the evening of March 9, her makeup was understated.
We've seen Kate out quite a lot this month! She and William were in Ireland just last week on a three-day tour of the country that saw the duchess wow royal watchers with a variety of glam, reception-ready looks to down-to-earth casual outfits consisting of sweaters and jeans.
