Prince Albert and Princess Charlene release new family portrait ahead of their twins’ fifth birthday

By Heather Cichowski

Look at how big they’ve gotten! Just before Prince Albert and Princess Charlene’s twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, celebrate their fifth birthdays on December 10, the royal family of Monaco has unveiled a stunning new family portrait.

The portrait was revealed on the palace’s Facebook page.

The family of four was captured by palace photographer Eric Mathon in front of Monaco’s seal and motto Deo Juvante (“With God’s Help”).

The newly released image marks the latest portrait in the 700-year-old House of Grimaldi’s history! And it is one of numerous cute images the family has shared.

Charlene looks regal in a pleated teal maxi gown. Albert is dapper in a grey suit with white shirt and red tie. Gabriella is posed in the front next to her brother in an off-white dress fit for a princess and Mary Jane shoes. Jacques echoes his father’s sharp ensemble in a dark suit with blue shirt and printed tie. In a tender gesture, the twins hold their parents’ hands.

The family portrait will go on sale on Dec. 4 in the principality’s souvenir shops with profits being donated to humanitarian work.

The charitable family portrait was released shortly after the four-year-old twins stole the show at Monaco’s National Day celebrations. The adorable youngsters were dressed up and appeared on the palace balcony with their parents.
