Ding dong! Redhead calling!
The short clip shows Ed ringing a doorbell, which plays the tune of “God Save the Queen”! Soon, none other than the Duke of Sussex opens the door!
“Hi, mate,” he says, and shakes his shaggy-haired doppelganger’s hand.
“It’s like looking in the mirror,” Harry then hilariously jokes, and viewers then get a glimpse of the pair’s outfits. They’re wearing nearly the exact same thing with the exception of Ed’s chunky glasses.
“Do you mind if I bring the cameras in?” Ed asks the prince.
“Of course. Yeah. Come on in, guys,” Harry replies.
Viewers will likely notice some of the details inside the house, which is not Harry’s home of Frogmore Cottage, which he shares with Meghan and little Archie. It’s actually Princess Eugenie’s home of Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace, where she lives with Jack Brooksbank. How do we know? There’s a photo on the wall showing Eugenie in her wedding dress. We don't know if Eugenie is also involved in the project, but if so, it means there are not one, not two, but three redheads involved with this project, and even more if Princess Beatrice makes an appearance.
Ed is good friends with several of the royals, but especially Beatrice. He was once reported to have been accidentally scratched on the face by the elder Princess of York during a mock knighthood ceremony at a party they both attended.
“I can’t talk about it,” he toldThe Graham Norton Show in 2017. “I have no idea how it came out as there weren’t a lot of people there that night,” he added. “For two weeks after, I had a huge gash on my face and would tell people I fell and then suddenly, the story came out.”
The clip was posted to preview a special collaboration between Harry and Ed for World Mental Health Day, which is Oct. 10. Of course, mental health and mental fitness are very important to Harry, who has courageously spoken about his own on numerous occasions and is working on a special series with Oprah Winfrey that will tackle the subject. We can’t wait to see what he and Ed come up with!
