​Cannes Film Festival 2014: All the looks

The Cannes Film Festival is officially under way, which can only mean one thing – a spectacular promenade of red carpet fashion.

Cannes icon and Bollywood beauty, Aishwarya Rai, made her 2014 debut in a spectacular Roberto Cavalli gown befitting her cinematic royal status. Sophia Loren, Amber Heard and Alessandra Ambrosio also opted for metallic looks for the premiere of Two Days, One Night on May 20.

Some of the world's biggest stars brought their fashion A-game to the French Riviera over the weekend - including actress Freida Pinto, who dazzled twice on the red carpet in a feathered Michael Kors gown and a sherbet Oscar de la Renta number.

Salma Hayek meanwhile, looked lovely in a bubblegum-pink dress paired with her hair in slightly tousled waves.

All eyes were on Blake Lively and her Canadian husband, Ryan Reynolds, as they attended the screening of Captives on Friday night.

Blake stunned in a black-and-white gown that showcased her trim figure, while Ryan was dapper in a black suit with a white bow tie.

Nicole Kidman kicked off the opening ceremony on May 14 for the Grace of Monaco premiere, donning a royal-blue Armani creation with glittering gemstones on the bodice.

On Day 2, Julianne Moore sizzled in a red leather top and black pencil skirt by Louis Vuitton, while Blake opted for an angelic Chanel ensemble.

Day 3 saw a barrage of Canadian faces attend star-studded fêtes, including Jay Baruchel and Ryan Reynolds. His wife Blake showcased her gorgeous gams in a Giambattista Valli mini-dress (before switching into her glamorous ball gown for the evening's festivities) while Rosario Dawson debuted a half-shaved hairstyle. Cate Blanchett was flawless in Valentino and accessorized with unusual pink diamond "shrimp" earrings.
