Adele Live in New York City (Dec 14, NBC): The "Hello" singer charms the audience with her humour and grace as she returns to the stage for a much overdue performance of her greatest hits, including new songs off her hugely successful album 25. Saturday Night Live head honcho Lorne Michaels directed the special, which was taped at Radio City Music Hall in November.

Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People (Dec. 17, ABC): For the 23rd time, the journalist presents her list of the famous faces that made their mark this year. From Bradley Cooper and Amy Schumer to designer Donna Karan and Tracy Morgan, Barbara sits down with each fascinating figure to discuss their personal and professional triumphs.

Running Wild With Bear Grylls (Dec. 17, NBC and Dec. 18, Global): U.S. President Barack Obama swaps the Oval Office for the Alaskan wilderness in a special episode of the survival guide series. Adventurer Bear leads the POTUS through the stunning terrain, stopping to dine on fresh salmon and chat about life in the White House. The politician ventured to the region to examine the effects of climate change and learn some survival skills along the way.

Billboard Women in Music 2015 (Dec. 18, Lifetime Canada): Lady Gaga delivers an emotional speech as she accepts her designation as Woman of the Year. The singer is honoured alongside a host of other female performers like Missy Elliot, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Lana Del Rey.

Saturday Night Live (Dec. 18, Global/NBC): Who better to say farewell to 2015 than SNL queens Amy Poehler and Tina Fey? The comedy legends return to Studio 8H for the sketch show's highly anticipated holiday episode. There is no guessing what the stars of the new comedy Sisters have in store for viewers, which further solidifies their hosting duties as must-see TV. To top the festivities, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will rock out as the featured musical guests.
