Duchess Meghan twins with Queen Letizia in a Hugo Boss red leather pencil skirt

Keen fans of the Spanish Royal Family and British Royal Family may have done a double-take on Oct. 25 when Duchess Meghan arrived at a gender equality forum at Windsor Castle. That’s because the Duchess of Sussex was wearing the exact same skirt as Queen Letizia, who wore it the day before!

Meghan attended a One Young World roundtable on gender equality in the red leather Hugo Boss pencil skirt, which she teamed with a burgundy crew-neck top by Joseph and red heels. She had her hair tied back in a chignon that resembled a beehive – not a hairstyle we’ve seen her wear much in the past.

As for the Spanish Queen, she paired the skirt with a white blouse and red accessories of her own, including a matching leather clutch. It made her look even more stylish during her visit to South Korea, where she’s spending time with her husband, King Felipe VI. Letizia was joined by South Korean First Lady (and classical singer!) Kim Jung-sook while she wore the skirt.

The couple’s visit to the Korean peninsula comes after they attended the enthronement ceremony for Emperor Naruhito of Japan in Tokyo earlier in the week. Plenty of other European royals were there, along with Britain’s Prince Charles, who did not have Duchess Camilla with him, since she was previously booked.

But back to Meghan! She brought Prince Harry with her to the roundtable, saying it was important for him to be there, since gender equality cannot be advanced without the understanding and support of men.

“So for this reason it made complete sense to let [Harry] join today, so thank you for letting him crash the party,” she said.

Meghan, who is the Vice-President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, attended the opening of the One Young World Summit in London earlier this week. She chose another spectacular look for her appearance at the Oct. 22 event, too, wearing a purple Aritzia dress we saw her don back in January when she and Harry stepped out to Birkenhead before she went on maternity leave. There was an especially sweet moment at the opening ceremony, held at Royal Albert Hall, when Meghan insisted the host not curtsy to her and hugged her instead.
