Lauren Conrad has extended her fashion empire to include chic plus-size designs. The “Downtown Glam” collection is part of the LC Lauren Conrad Runway line and made its debut on Sept 6 at Beauty & Essex in LA.

The 31-year-old designer teamed up with 24-year-old internet star Loey Lane to launch the line at a Girls’ Night Out party. Loey, a body positivity activist, is one of the women modelling the Kohls collection, which features flirty tops, lots of velvet, faux fur and adorable dresses perfect for fall.

With this diversified line, Lauren has proved that she cares about what her fans want. Speaking to Just Jared, the star revealed that she created the new collection based on fan feedback. “For a few years now fans have been asking for a wider size range and I thought what better time to add Plus than for Runway. Every woman no matter her shape and size should have access to cute outfits for a great girls night out.”

When the time came to pick the perfect model for the campaign, The Hills star turned to one her favourite YouTube stars. “Loey was the perfect model for this. I have been a fan of hers for a while and typically I shoot the campaigns for my LA Lauren Conrad Kohls collections but since I was heavily pregnant at the time I couldn’t shoot this Runway campaign. What a better way to introduce Plus than have the beautiful Loey Lane be our model,” she explained to publication.

The gorgeous model shared a cute photo with Lauren on her Instagram, with the caption: “I'm having a blast at the #LCRunwaylaunch party tonight! Best girls night ever ❤ @LCLaurenConradThanks for having me”

Only a month after Lauren welcomed her baby boy Liam into the world, the California native revealed that she’d like to branch out into kidswear, too, but said she “needs more experience in that space” before she ventures out.
