If you have any extra greens and healthy food, peas lettuce know!

Chrissy Teigen has been keeping those who are social distancing and in self-isolation amused on social media during the coronavirus pandemic with her signature humour and recipe tips.

On March 23, the cookbook author took to Twitter to ask users if anyone had any romaine lettuce. And she offered to trade some of her famous homemade banana bread for the greens.

"I’ll make a banana bread for anyone that has romaine lettuce," she wrote to her 12.5 million followers. This all said, she made sure any trading would not disrespect COVID-19 physical distancing rules.

"The trade will be made 6 feet apart and we will place the goods on the floor. no funny business," the mom of two added.

Fans near and far were quick to offer up some of their extra greens to the model in a romaine-tic gesture, including comedian Chris Klemens. He uploaded a photo of himself holding a package of sealed romaine hearts.

After confirming the photo of the funnyman wasn't an old one, Chrissy turned a new leaf and accepted the trade. However, she asked if Chris would accept half a banana bread because she had a limited quantity of bananas and could only produce one loaf.

Her husband, John Legend, wasn't happy about giving up the entire thing as part of the original deal. To sweeten the new offer, the Lip Sync Battle host offered to throw in a piece of pie. How delicious!

The terms were settled and Chrissy and Chris plan on exchanging items while social-distancing on March 24!

This isn't the only time Chrissy has sourced ingredients on social media. In September 2017, she went viral when she took to Twitter to ask local fans for brown bananas in exchange for a pair of John's underwear, a makeup palette and a signed copy of her first cookbook, Cravings.

"If you have 6 BROWN bananas in the LA area, I will send my assistant to your home with a signed cookbook, John's underwear and a Becca palette," the model-author-cook tweeted.

"SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. please send me a photo of u holding the bananas, giving the peace sign."

The trade was a successful one and Chrissy even shared pictures of her mom, Vilailuck "Pepper Thai" Teigen trading the agreed items.

The viral banana bread recipe made it into her second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More, which was released in 2018. It was called "Twitter's (and Uncle Mike's) banana bread."

It remains to be seen what Chrissy will do with her romaine lettuce hearts but we know it will be something delicious. The funny lady doesn't ever lettuce down, and we love how she is keeping everyone entertained during this trying time.
