Drake has had a lot of excitement over the past week between the big Toronto Raptors NBA Championships win and dropping new music. But he celebrated his biggest pride and joy – his one-year-old son, Adonis – on Father’s Day with the sweetest arts and crafts project.
The Canadian rapper shared a photo of his little boy's masterpiece on Instagram. It’s an abstract painting of green, yellow, pink and blue dots surrounding a stenciled outline of the word “Papa.” The Grammy Award-winning artist simply captioned the snap: “Happy Fathers Day.”
This year marks his second one as a dad to Adonis, who he shares with former adult-film star, Sophie Brussaux.
It’s clear his bundle of joy is a little artist in the making! Last December, the “Started from the Bottom” rapper shared another abstract painting made by his son, which featured a similar colour scheme and handprints. “Adonis > Picasso don't @ me,” he wrote in the caption.
The 32-year-old finally confirmed his fatherhood on a few tracks on his latest studio album, Scorpion. While opening up about his life in an episode of NBA star LeBron James’s HBO series The Shop, the Toronto native said: “[He has] crazy blue eyes – baby blue eyes.”
He continued: “I’m just really excited to be a great father... No matter what happens, I have unconditional love for the mother of my child because I want him to love his mother and I have to project that energy.”
