Who will Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's royal baby's godparents be? A look at possible candidates

<h2>Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn</h2> <p>The singer is reportedly a close friend of Eugenie and her sister <a href=/tags/0/princess-beatrice><strong>Princess Beatrice</strong></a>, which means he and his wife <strong>Cherry Seaborn</strong> could be in the running as future godparents. <p>Ed and Cherry also welcomed their first child, a daughter named <strong>Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran</strong> in 2020 so they would have much in common. <p>Photo: &copy; Stephen Pond/Getty Images

<h2>Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry</h2> <p>Eugenie has a close relationship with her cousin <a href=/tags/0/prince-harry><strong>Prince Harry</strong></a> and it is said he and wife <a href=/tags/0/meghan-markle><strong>Duchess Meghan</strong></a> congratulated Eugenie and Jack privately following the birth of their son. <p>The <a href=/tags/0/prince-harry-and-meghan><strong>Duke and Duchess of Sussex</strong></a> did not name Eugenie and Jack as the godparents of their son <a href=/tags/0/archie-harrison><strong>Archie</strong></a> when he was born in May 2019, but that does not necessarily rule them out of being named godparents to the new baby boy. <p>Harry and Meghan did offer Eugenie and Jack the use of Frogmore Cottage, their home in the U.K., in the lead up to the baby's birth. <h2>Cressida Bonas</h2> <p>Another one of Eugenie's good friends is Prince Harry's ex <a href=/tags/0/cressida-bonas><strong>Cressida Bonas</strong></a>. <p>The ladies have been friends for years and have been pictured at multiple events and weddings having a ball. <p>It is also reported Eugenie was the one who introduced Harry and Cressida before they began dating in 2012. <p>The actress also attended Eugenie and Jack's wedding in Windsor. <p>Photo: &copy; David M. <h2>Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi</h2> <p>An obvious option for godparents is Beatrice and her husband <a href=/tags/0/edoardo-mapelli-mozzi><strong>Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi</strong></a>. <p>With the birth of Jack and Eugenie's son, Beatrice became an aunt, but she could also be named a godparent, too. <p>The sisters have a very close bond and were pictured together before the couple announced they were expecting. <p>Photo: &copy; David M. <h2>Kate Moss and Nikolai Von Bismarck</h2> <p><strong>Nikolai Von Bismarck</strong> is a "dear friend" of Eugenie's according to an Instagram post she shared about him. <p>He was at Eugenie's nuptials and the two run in similar circles. The photographer is from a German noble family and he also snapped Princess Beatrice for her official 18th birthday portrait. <p>Nikolai's long-term partner is <a href=/tags/0/kate-moss><strong>Kate Moss</strong></a>. <h2>Duchess Kate and Prince William</h2> <p>Although Eugenie and Jack are not godparents to <a href=/tags/0/kate-middleton><strong>Kate Middleton</strong></a> and <a href=/tags/0/prince-william><strong>Prince William</strong></a>'s three children: <a href=/tags/0/prince-george><strong>Prince George</strong></a>, 7, <a href=/tags/0/princess-charlotte><strong>Princess Charlotte</strong></a>, 5, and <a href=/tags/0/prince-louis><strong>Prince Louis</strong></a>, 2, they could still be named godparents. It is something that royals fans would love to see. <p>The <a href=/tags/0/prince-william-and-kate><strong>Duke and Duchess of Cambridge</strong></a> have a good relationship with Eugenie and Beatrice. The pair have been photographed at various events, plus, Jack and Eugenie both attended Ellie's wedding to <strong>Caspar Jopling</strong>. <h2>Thomas Brooksbank</h2> <p>On Jack's side, his younger brother Thomas could be named as a godfather, and potentially his wife, <strong>Amy Rogers</strong>, as godmother. <p>Eugenie and Jack were named guests of honour at Amy and Thomas's 2019 nuptials, and it was believed Jack served as his brother's best man.
