Their royal tour of South Africa, Botswana, Angola and Malawi kicks off next week, but before that, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will spend Friday with one of Meghan’s closest friends before jetting off to southern Africa.
The couple have left son Archie Harrison at home and will reunite with him at some point over the next few days. We understand the four-month-old will be with his parents during their time in South Africa and a royal source had previously said they intend to incorporate him in an event somehow, but aren’t sure how they’ll do that.
Misha is one of Meghan’s best friends, and she’s marrying oil millionaire Michael Hess. The nuptials are set to be nothing short of spectacular. HELLO! UK understands a party at Cinecitta, the studio that was home to directors such as Federico Fellini, is on the schedule.
The celebrations also feature a stacked guest list that includes Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, model Karlie Kloss and her husband Joshua Kushner and Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, along with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, according to HELLO! UK.
We last saw Misha and Meghan together earlier this month, when the designer participated in the launch of Meghan’s capsule collection, The Smart Set, in London. Misha was part of the joint initiative between Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and Jigsaw, which will benefit Meghan’s patronage Smart Works. The charity helps unemployed women who are looking for work by connecting them with job interview training and clothes.
Misha also attended Meghan and Harry’s 2018 wedding, and brought Michael with her for their first appearance together. She was also one of just a few of Meghan’s closest friends at the New York City baby shower organized by Serena Williams.
Meghan and Harry are due to touch down in Cape Town, South Africa on Sept. 22, with their tour kicking off the following day. They will spend a few days with Archie in Cape Town before Harry heads off for solo trips to Botswana, Angola and Malawi. The couple will then reunite in South Africa again before the tour wraps on Oct. 2.
We can’t wait to see the next few weeks of amazing events for the new family of three!
