• Golden Globes 2018: The most stunning jewels on the red carpet

 •
The 75th annual Golden Globes was certainly one to remember, with countless Hollywood stars using the glamorous awards as a platform to promote the message of the #TIMESUP movement - the anti-sexual harassment campaign backed by the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Emma Stone. While legions of actresses took to Instagram to pledge their support, the solidarity spread to the red carpet, too, where the majority of famous faces chose to wear black to highlight the cause.

But it wasn’t only the LBDs that made a statement as the stars arrived on Sunday night. Another unexpected trend emerged on the faces of the leading ladies, with many opting for bold make-up looks to further support the movement and portray their own personal messages. Read on to see how the likes of Claire Foy and Susan Sarandon used beauty to take a stand…

 • Legendary talkshow host, activist and author Oprah Winfrey took home the Cecil B. DeMille award, and her speech was truly presidential:

"In 1964, I was a little girl, sitting on the linoleum floor of my mother’s house, watching Anne Bancroft present the Oscar for best actor. She opened the envelope and said five words that literally made history: The winner is Sidney Poitier. I’d never seen a black man being celebrated like that. And I tried many times to explain what a moment like that means to a little girl, a kid watching from the cheap seats as my mom came through the door, bone tired from cleaning other peoples' houses."

She continued: "It is not lost on me that little girls are watching the first black woman winning the very same award. I want to say that I value the press more than ever before, as we try to navigate these complicated times.

What I know for sure, is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have and I’m especially proud and inspired by all the women who have felt strong enough and empowered enough to speak up and share their personal stories. This year we became the story, but it’s not just a story affecting the entertainment industry. I want to express gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault because they, like my mother, had children to feed, bills to pay and dreams to pursue. They’re the women whose names we’ll never know.

"We all have lived in a culture of brutally powerful men. For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men. But their time is up!"

 •
From significant others to activists, parties of two were a staple on the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet. There were husband and wife duos like Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, as well as professional partners like The Crown's Claire Foy and Matt Smith. There were also a number of stars who arrived with change makers as their pre-show counterparts, like Emma Stone who brought tennis legend Billie Jean King, as part of the "Time's Up" movement. Here's a roundup of the evening's best and most memorable twosomes.
