Before he even hit the red carpet at the 58th annual GRAMMY Awards, Justin Bieber, 21, already earned some hardware. The Stratford, Ont. native won his first ever GRAMMY for his mega-hit “Where Are Ü Now” before music’s biggest night even started. Justin shares the Best Dance Recording honour with powerhouse EDM producers Diplo and Skrillex.
Since the award was given out before the star-studded award ceremony, fans didn’t see him accept the prize on stage. But Justin didn’t let the moment pass without giving a shout out to his fans. He tweeted, “Beliebers.. We did it! I love you. Now get ready for the show. Not done yet.” Viewers did see him clowning around on the red carpet when he arrived with his adorable brother Jaxon.

Justin was nominated for his first GRAMMY in 2011, when he lost Best New Artist to jazz artist Esperanza Spalding. “I had no clue what was going to happen,” he said afterward. “I worked really hard these past few years and you know, I’m not going to lie – I was disappointed.” Still, the “Love Yourself” singer – who was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album that year – was motivated to keep at it. “You know, I’m going to come back [next year] and we’ll take a few home.”
This latest career milestone is proof that both fans and critics belieb!
