Dads—and in this case, Ryan Reynolds—say the darnedest things! Co-parenting two gorgeous girls, Ines, 10 months, and two-year-old James with stunning actressBlake Lively, Ryan’s sense of humour shines on social media. The 40-year-old actor is well-known for his hilarious Tweets, but even more adorable is how he keeps fatherhood funny.
In a recent tweet, the Deadpool star humorously reminisced on life before becoming a dad. He wrote, “Being a father is the single greatest feeling on earth. Not including those wonderful years I spent without a child, of course.”

But of course, it’s all in good fun, and what is parenting without some comedic relief? Blake rolls with the jokes, too. The 29-year-old jokingly suggested in the September issue of Glamour that her husband’s embellishment of the truth could get him a job at the Enquirer, “When he says ‘my daughter,’ he’s never, ever talking about her. Everything is a completely made-up scenario. He’ll run them by me sometimes just to make me laugh. But oh, I’m so in love with him when he writes that stuff. I mean, I’m in love with him most of the time, but especially that.”
“I said, ‘Most of the time,’ because if I say, ‘I’m so in love with him all the time,’ then you get that eye-rolling, ‘Oh, her life is so great, she’s so perfect.’ So it’s, like, my defense mechanism.” Cover star Blake Lively opens up about her husband, her daughters and the B.S. idea that her life is perfect in our September issue. The Hollywood power duo are certainly taking to progressive parenting well. Blake has revealed that Ryan is very aware of the language he uses around his daughters, saying, “I’m lucky to have someone so conscious. My husband was like, ‘Why do I always say he?’ and I said, ‘That’s what we’re taught.’ So he’ll pick up, like a caterpillar, and instead of saying, “What’s his name?’ he’ll say, ‘What’s her name?’”
Blake and Ryan, who’ve been married for five years, are also known for poking fun at each other on social media. Back in April, Ryan was one of the honourees on TIME’s list of 100 most influential people this year. Blake posted a photo on Instagram of her husband photobombing singer John Legend, with the caption, “Congratulations to the most influential person in my life. The best man I know… you deserve this @time 100 honour … If only my husband wasn’t blocking you in this shot. I’m so sorry @johnlegend.”
